<p>If search engines do a perfect job, they read, understand, and index your entire site. When they do that, what they find is what is presented by your template. Why not prepare for the days when search engines are close to perfect? That is why Magento SEO starts with the template selection.</p>

Since Magento runs on a form of the Zend Framework, there are numerous options for implementing SEO friendly URLs.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m working with a pretty smart search engineoptimization consultant rightnow on this issue. The SEF URL part isn&#8217;t the highest priority right now, but it  is on the agenda. I&#8217;m learning alot abut how SEO works and it is different than I had thought.</p>
